Después de ocho años de ausencia, el famoso y querido actor Billy Crystal fué el anfitrión de la ceremonia de los galardones de la Academia de Cine de Hollywood – los premios mas deseados del mundo del espectáculo.
¿Quienes ganaron?
La ceremonia fué transmitida por la cadena ABC desde el teatro Kodak en Los Angeles.
El glamour no faltó en la noche mas especial del cine, este año con nominados mas eclécticos a nivel mundial, como el mexicano Demian Bichir o el francés Jean Dujardin. La alfombra roja estuvo llena de brillos y colores pálidos, con algunas pocas vistas de colores – pero nada fuera de lo normal o llamativo… quizá exceptuando a Sacha Baron Cohen con su personaje del “Dictador” que tuvo la idea de tirarle talco (emulando cenizas) al traje del conductor Ryan Seacrest ¡menudo enojo cargó este!
Resumen para los apurados: “The Artist” arrasó en las categorías principales, y “Hugo” en las técnicas.
La sorpresa: Jean Dujardin como Mejor Actor, ya que todos apostaban por Brad Pitt (luego de su amenaza de retirarse de la actuación) o George Clooney.
Lo grandioso: siendo esta la séptima vez que la nominan a un Oscar, Meryl Streep ganó su tercera estatuilla hoy por “The Iron Lady”
